Artemi Sergeyevich Panarin, known as the "Breadman," is a Russian professional ice hockey winger and alternate captain for the New York Rangers in the NHL. He has played for several teams, including Vityaz Chekov, Ak Bars Kazan, SKA Saint Petersburg, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Columbus Blue Jackets, before joining the Rangers.
In 2010, Artemi Panarin was not selected in the NHL Entry Draft and continued his professional hockey career in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with HC Vityaz.
On January 31, 2013, Artemi Panarin was traded from HC Vityaz to SKA Saint Petersburg in the KHL in exchange for a draft pick after producing 18 points in 40 games.
In 2013, Artemi Panarin made his Russian senior team debut, being included on the roster in one of the rounds of the EuroHockeyTour during the 2013–14 season.

On December 26, 2016, Artemi Panarin signed a new two-year, $12 million contract with Chicago effective for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.
On March 20, 2018, Artemi Panarin scored his second career hat-trick and added an assist to clinch a 5–3 Columbus win over the New York Rangers.
Artemi Panarin continued his offensive role with the Blackhawks during the 2016-17 season. He completed his second North American season scoring a career-best 31 goals in collecting 43 assists and 74 points in all 82 games played and was named to the NHL's Second All-Star Team.
On July 1, 2019, Artemi Panarin signed a seven-year, $81.5 million contract with the New York Rangers.
In 2019, Artemi Panarin set a new Blue Jackets-franchise point-scoring record with 87 points and helped the team clinch the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference for the playoffs. The Blue Jackets swept the Tampa Bay Lightning marking the first playoff series win in Blue Jackets history and for Panarin's career.
In January 2020, Artemi Panarin became the first player in Rangers history to have 60 points in the first 43 career games as a Ranger. Later in January he also became the first Ranger to record six three-point games in a nine-game span and the second Ranger to record nine plus points in four consecutive games.
Artemi Panarin concluded the shortened 2019–20 regular season by recording a career-high 95 points from 32 goals and 63 assists. He was a finalist for the Hart Memorial Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award.
