Ed Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter who started writing songs around age eleven. Born in Halifax and raised in Framlingham, he gained early recognition with his independently released extended play, 'No. 5 Collaborations Project', in 2011. That same year, he signed with Asylum Records, marking the beginning of his mainstream music career.
In 1990, Ed Sheeran's parents, John and Imogen, founded Sheeran Lock, an independent art consultancy. They operated the consultancy until 2010.
