Joe Mixon

Joseph Tyler Mixon is a professional American football running back currently playing for the Houston Texans in the NFL. He gained recognition playing college football for the Oklahoma Sooners, where he received first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2016. Mixon was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft and played for them until joining the Texans.

2015: Played in 12 Games as a Freshman

In 2015, during his redshirt freshman year, Joe Mixon played in all 12 games, starting in three. He recorded a 76-yard touchdown reception in his first game and had 154 rushing yards against Texas Tech and 136 rushing yards against Oklahoma State. The Oklahoma Sooners qualified for the College Football Playoff. He was limited to four rushing yards and 11 receiving yards in the Orange Bowl loss against Clemson. During the 2015 regular season, he rushed for 749 yards and seven touchdowns, and recorded 25 receptions for 345 yards and four touchdowns.

On July 22, 2016, Amelia Molitor filed suit in federal court against Joe Mixon, accusing him of negligence, wilful and wanton misconduct, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
