Marcus Morris Sr. is an American professional basketball player, most recently with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA. He was drafted 14th overall by the Houston Rockets in 2011 after playing college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. Known for his scoring ability and physical style of play, Morris has had a journeyman career, playing for several teams in the NBA. He is a versatile forward capable of playing both the power forward and small forward positions.
In 2008, Marcus Morris was considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, listed as the No. 10 power forward and the No. 29 player in the nation.
On March 30, 2011, Marcus Morris was named to the ten-member John R. Wooden Award Men's All American team. He and his brother also signed with a sports agent and announced their intention to enter the 2011 NBA draft.
In 2011, Marcus Morris was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 14th overall pick in the NBA draft, just five minutes after his twin brother Markieff was picked by the Phoenix Suns.
On January 2, 2012, Marcus Morris was assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League.

In 2012, Marcus Morris was named the opening day starter at power forward for the Houston Rockets due to an injury to Patrick Patterson. Throughout the 2012-2013 season, he served as Patterson's backup and significantly improved his three-point shooting percentage.
On February 21, 2013, Marcus Morris was traded to the Phoenix Suns, reuniting him with his brother Markieff.
