Mark Scheifele is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre and alternate captain for the Winnipeg Jets of the NHL. Drafted seventh overall by the Jets in 2011, he was their first draft pick after the team relocated from Atlanta. He plays a pivotal role for the Jets.

May 6, 2021: Scheifele records 500th career NHL point

On May 6, 2021, Mark Scheifele recorded his 500th career NHL point with an assist on Blake Wheeler's goal against the Calgary Flames. This assist also helped the Winnipeg Jets snap their seven-game losing streak and qualify for the 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs.

On April 20, 2022, the Winnipeg Jets were eliminated from playoff contention after the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Washington Capitals. Mark Scheifele missed the final nine games due to an upper body injury and finished the season with 70 points in 67 games.
