Oneil Cruz is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic, currently playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates in MLB. He plays both center field and shortstop. He began his Major League Baseball career in 2021.

On July 31, 2017, the Dodgers traded Oneil Cruz and Angel German to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for Tony Watson. Cruz was then assigned to the West Virginia Power.
On November 20, 2019, the Pirates added Oneil Cruz to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.
In 2019, Cruz began the season with the Bradenton Marauders, suffered a foot fracture, was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Pirates, and was later promoted to the Altoona Curve. He hit .298 in 73 games across the three teams for the 2019 season.
On September 22, 2020, Oneil Cruz was involved in a deadly vehicle crash in the Dominican Republic in which three people were killed. Cruz survived the accident without serious injury.
