Panorama City, Los Angeles

Panorama City is a neighborhood located in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Characterized by a young population and the highest population density in the Valley, it is a diverse community with a significant foreign-born population, primarily from Mexico. Originally an agricultural area, Panorama City transformed into the Valley's first planned community following World War II, experiencing a post-war housing boom. Today, it features a mix of single-family homes and low-rise apartment buildings and has been home to a number of well-known residents.

1944: Servicemen's Readjustment Act

In 1944, the Servicemen's Readjustment Act, also known as the G.I. Bill, helped finance the purchase of homes in Panorama City.

1945: Kaiser Community Homes Formed
