Patti LuPone is a highly acclaimed American actress and singer celebrated for her powerful performances in musical theater on Broadway and the West End. Beginning her career in 1972 with The Acting Company, she quickly rose to prominence for her leading roles. LuPone is known for portraying strong female characters and has received numerous awards, including three Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, and two Grammy Awards. She has also been nominated for two Emmy Awards and was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2006, solidifying her status as a significant figure in American theater.
