Sherrod Brown

Sherrod Brown is an American politician who served as a United States Senator for Ohio from 2007 to 2025. A Democrat, Brown previously served as a U.S. Representative for Ohio's 13th congressional district (1993-2007) and as Ohio's Secretary of State (1983-1991). His political career began in 1975 as a state representative. Brown is considered a progressive and populist within the Democratic Party and is the most recent Democrat to represent Ohio in the U.S. Senate.
