The Tourist (TV series)

The Tourist is a drama-thriller black comedy series starring Jamie Dornan as a man who wakes up in the Australian outback with amnesia after a car crash. The first series follows his attempts to uncover his identity and the events leading up to the accident. It premiered in January 2022 in the UK and Australia, and later in the US. The second series, which shifts the setting to Ireland, premiered in January 2024, continuing the protagonist's journey as he confronts his past and unravels further mysteries.

February 2020: BBC One and Stan Announce Co-Production

In February 2020, BBC One and Stan announced that they would co-produce The Tourist, a limited mystery-thriller series written by Harry and Jack Williams, directed by Chris Sweeney, and produced by Two Brothers Pictures. HBO Max later joined as a distributor for the US market.
