Brandy Norwood, known mononymously as Brandy, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, model, and actress. She began her career as a backing vocalist before signing with Atlantic Records and releasing her debut album, Brandy, in 1994. Brandy gained fame starring in the sitcom Moesha and the TV film Cinderella. Her duet with Monica, "The Boy Is Mine," won a Grammy and is one of the best-selling female duets ever.
