Claude Giroux is a Canadian professional ice hockey player currently serving as a forward and alternate captain for the Ottawa Senators in the NHL. Drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2006, he became the team's captain in 2013, holding the title for the longest tenure in Flyers' history. He reached his 1,000th game with the Flyers in March 2022. Prior to joining the Senators, Giroux also played for the Florida Panthers. Known for his versatility, Giroux has played both center and wing positions throughout his NHL career.
