LG V series

The LG V series was a line of high-end Android smartphones manufactured by LG Electronics, positioned above the G series. Launched in September 2015 with the LG V10, it was known for being the first smartphone with multiples of 10. The series ended with the LG V60 ThinQ, released in March 2020.

September 2015: LG V10 Announcement

In September 2015, LG announced the V10 smartphone. It featured a secondary display, dual front-facing cameras, a fingerprint sensor, and comprehensive manual photo and video modes.

September 2015: LG V series Unveiling

In September 2015, LG unveiled the LG V series, starting with the LG V10, the first smartphone to have multiples of 10.

September 6, 2016: LG V20 Announcement

On September 6, 2016, LG announced the V20 smartphone, featuring a secondary display and MIL-STD-810G drop compliance. It also gained an 8 MP wide angle secondary rear camera while maintaining features such as an IR blaster and high fidelity audio recorder.

August 31, 2017: LG V30 Series Announcement

On August 31, 2017, LG announced the V30 series, including the LG V30 and LG V30+. It replaced the secondary display with a near bezel-less screen and added IP68 waterproofing and wireless charging.

February 2018: LG V30S ThinQ Announcement

In February 2018, LG announced the LG V30S ThinQ, an update to the LG V30. This phone was the first with the ThinQ branding and featured improvements in storage, RAM, and software.

May 2018: LG V35 ThinQ Release

In May 2018, the LG V35 ThinQ was released as a new addition to the LG V30 series, featuring the build and design of the LG V30 with upgraded hardware.

September 27, 2018: LG V40 ThinQ Design Video Teaser

On September 27, 2018, LG Mobile Global posted a design video teaser on their YouTube Channel for the upcoming LG V40 ThinQ, hinting at 5 cameras, a soft feel, and colors like Moroccan Blue and Aurora Black.

October 3, 2018: LG V40 ThinQ Announcement

On October 3, 2018, LG officially announced the LG V40 ThinQ in New York City, along with the LG Watch W7 hybrid watch.

October 18, 2018: LG V40 ThinQ Release

On October 18, 2018, the LG V40 ThinQ was released.

February 2019: LG V50 ThinQ Announcement at MWC 2019

In February 2019, LG announced the V50 ThinQ at MWC 2019.

October 2019: LG V50s Announcement

In October 2019, LG announced the V50s, which featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 system-on-chip, Adreno 640 GPU, 5G support, and a larger battery. It also introduced the "LG DualScreen" case accessory.

March 2020: LG V60 ThinQ Release

In March 2020, the LG V60 ThinQ was released, marking the last in the LG V series.
