The Raid (2011 film)

The Raid (2011) is an Indonesian action thriller directed by Gareth Evans. A 20-man tactical unit of the Indonesian National Police attempts to raid a high-rise apartment building in Jakarta controlled by a ruthless drug lord, Tama. Upon entering, they are quickly discovered, and Tama alerts all residents, offering them rewards for killing the police. The squad becomes trapped and must fight their way up through the building, facing hordes of criminals and skilled martial artists. The film is known for its intense and brutal fight choreography, primarily featuring the Indonesian martial art of Pencak Silat. The remaining team members face various lieutenants of Tama as they attempt to complete their mission and escape the building.
