Andrew McCutchen

Andrew McCutchen is a professional baseball outfielder and designated hitter currently playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has also played for the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, and Milwaukee Brewers. McCutchen has represented the United States internationally, notably winning a gold medal with Team USA in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

1970: Pirates duo with five hits

On May 14, 2010, Andrew McCutchen went 5-for-5 with five runs scored, achieving a career day against the Chicago Cubs. McCutchen and Garrett Jones became the first Pirate duo since Hall of Famer Willie Stargell and Bob Robertson to record five hits in 1970.

1974: First Pirate since Stargell

After the 2015 season, Andrew McCutchen was named the winner of the 2015 Roberto Clemente Award, becoming the first Pirate to win the honor since Willie Stargell in 1974.
