Marc-André Fleury is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Minnesota Wild. Drafted first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2003, he spent 13 seasons with the team, winning three Stanley Cups (2009, 2016, 2017). Fleury has also won the William M. Jennings Trophy and the Vezina Trophy (2021). He is one of only three goaltenders in NHL history to reach 500 career wins and one of four to play 1,000 games.
After a strong 2002-03 campaign, Marc-André Fleury received QMJHL Second Team All-Star honors.
In 2003, Fleury made his first appearance in the IIHF World Junior Championships in Halifax. Although Canada was defeated by Russia 3–2 in the gold medal game, Fleury posted a 1.57 GAA and was named the Top Goaltender and tournament MVP.

In 2016, despite being unable to play due to post-concussion syndrome for most of the playoffs, Fleury subbed in for Murray in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final and started Game 5. Ultimately, Murray was favored, and the Penguins won the Stanley Cup with Murray in goal, defeating the San Jose Sharks in six games.
In the 2016 season, Fleury played 38 games and accumulated 18 wins for the Penguins. He later helped lead the team through the first round of the playoffs versus the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the second round versus the Washington Capitals, before Murray became the team's starter en route to a Stanley Cup championship victory.
