Shea Ralph is a former basketball player and current head coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores women's basketball team. Before Vanderbilt, she served as an assistant coach at UConn. A highly decorated athlete, Ralph earned national player of the year honors in both high school and college. As a player for the University of Connecticut, she won a national championship in 2000, and received individual accolades such as the Sports Illustrated for Women Player of the Year. Her career was marked by overcoming adversity, including five ACL injuries, which ultimately cut short her professional playing aspirations after being drafted by the WNBA. She began her coaching career at the University of Pittsburgh in 2003.
In 1995, Shea Ralph, a member of the National Honor Society and an athlete, was a recipient of the Dial Award, which is presented annually to the top male and female high-school athlete/scholar in the United States. She earned a 4.2 grade point average on a scale of 4.0.
In 1996, Shea Ralph participated in the WBCA High School All-America Game, scoring twelve points.

In 2000, during the championship game against Tennessee, Shea Ralph scored 15 points, had six steals and seven assists, earning her the nickname Tournament Shea. She was named the Big East Player of the Year and won national awards, including Sports Illustrated Women Player of the Year, the Honda Sports Award in basketball, and a spot on the Kodak All-America team. She played on the USA Basketball 2000 Jones Cup Team that won the gold in Taipei.
In 2006, Shea Ralph was a member of the inaugural class of inductees to the University of Connecticut women's basketball "Huskies of Honor" recognition program.
In 2008, Shea Ralph was an inductee into the Fayetteville Sports Club Hall of Fame on the basis of her high school, college and coaching accomplishments.
Shea Ralph's fourth season ended with a disappointing overtime loss in the first round of the NCAA tournament, but it featured back to back 20 win seasons for the first time in a decade. Vanderbilt stunned Tennessee 71–70, clinching its first home win over the Volunteers since Jan. 12, 2014.
On December 19, 2023, the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame announced that Shea Ralph was one of the 10 inductees for the class of 2024.
