David Muir is a prominent American journalist and anchor. He currently anchors ABC World News Tonight and co-anchors 20/20 on ABC. Muir took over as anchor of World News Tonight on September 1, 2014, succeeding Diane Sawyer. Prior to this, he was the weekend anchor and primary substitute anchor for the program.
