Jim Furyk is a professional golfer known for his success on the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions. A major champion, he won the 2003 U.S. Open. In 2010, Furyk achieved the titles of FedEx Cup champion and PGA Tour Player of the Year. Notably, he holds the PGA Tour record for the lowest single-round score, carding a 58 at the 2016 Travelers Championship. Furyk is also recognized for his unique and unconventional golf swing.

In 2012, Jim Furyk led the U.S. Open after 54 holes but finished in a tie for fourth. He also led the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational but lost the title after a double-bogey on the final hole.
In 2013, Jim Furyk led the PGA Championship going into the final day but was unable to maintain the lead, finishing behind Jason Dufner.
In July 2014, Jim Furyk held the 54-hole lead at the RBC Canadian Open but lost the title after Tim Clark birdied five of his last eight holes, and Furyk missed a 12-foot putt.
In February 2015, Jim Furyk held a one-shot lead at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am but shot a two over round of 74 to finish six strokes behind Brandt Snedeker.
On April 19, 2015, Jim Furyk ended a long slump by defeating Kevin Kisner with a birdie on the second playoff hole at the RBC Heritage, marking his 17th victory on the PGA Tour.
In 2015, Jim Furyk withdrew from the BMW Championship due to a wrist injury and also had to withdraw from the 2015 Presidents Cup team, becoming an assistant captain instead.
