Diana Taurasi is an American former professional basketball player, celebrated as one of the greatest in WNBA history. She played 20 seasons for the Phoenix Mercury. Taurasi gained prominence playing college basketball for the University of Connecticut, where she led the team to three consecutive NCAA championships.
On June 11, 1982, Diana Lorena Taurasi, widely considered one of the greatest women's basketball players ever, was born. She would go on to have a remarkable career in the WNBA and college basketball.
