History of World Baseball Classic in Timeline
The World Baseball Classic (WBC) is an international baseball tournament sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and organized in collaboration with Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). The winning team receives the World Baseball Classic Championship Trophy and is recognized as the "world champion." It is one of the two major baseball tournaments sanctioned by the WBSC, along with the WBSC Premier12.
