Seattle Sounders FC

Seattle Sounders FC is an American professional soccer club competing in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Established on November 13, 2007, they began play in 2009 as an expansion team. The Sounders carry the same name as previous Seattle soccer franchises, including the original North American Soccer League (NASL) team from 1974-1983 and a second-division team that played from 1994-2008. They are considered a phoenix club, representing a continuation of Seattle's soccer history.

1937: U.S. Open Cup Final Appearance
