Taco Bell

Taco Bell, founded in 1962 by Glen Bell, is an American fast-food restaurant chain specializing in Mexican-inspired cuisine. It is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc., and offers a menu of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and value items. By 2023, Taco Bell served over two billion customers annually across 8,212 restaurants. A significant majority (over 94%) of these restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees and licensees.

1948: Bell's Drive-In Opens
